Every PLI student is expected to complete homework.

While we do not give students textbooks to take home for every subject, this only means your student may not have a backpack full of heavy textbooks to bring home every day.

PLI homework may be in the form of a student reading and taking notes on a topic from a magazine, book, newspaper, or television show; it may also involve your student attending a public presentation or college lecture; or the homework could be to conduct an interview, by telephone or in person, with a professional in the field your child is researching.

The philosophy at PLI is that learning is a life long process and is not exclusive to the classroom. Students are expected to learn in and through our community.

The minimum amount of homework your student will have is to read 50 pages of a novel every week and to spend 30 minutes working on math at least 5 days a week. You should expect to see your student working on “homework” everyday.
